All Saints is looking for a part time Christian Education Coordinator Position: Christian Ed Coordinator Town: Stoneham MA Employer: All Saints’ Church Part Time All Saints’ Church, Stoneham , MA is searching for a Christian Education coordinator who is passionate about making a difference in children’s lives, and who will work to nurture and enhance the educational ministries of the church. This person will provide administrative support to the Christian education committee, coordinate church school programs throughout the year, teach classes when necessary, and involve the church school in the total life of the church. There are 3 classes of 5-7 children each. Knowledge in Godly Play and Gather Round preferred. This ministry will be approximately 7-10 hours a week, will begin in August 2011 and run for the school year. All Saints’ Church Part-Time Christian Education Coordinator
Description The coordinator will work to nurture and enhance the educational ministries of the church: providing administrative support to the Christian education committee, coordinating church school programs throughout the year, and involving the church school in the total life of the church. Responsibilities
- Recruit and support teachers.
- Meet with the Christian education committee quarterly
- Keep accurate records (registration, attendance, expenses, supplies)
- Order, distribute, evaluate and encourage effective use of curriculum materials, equipment, and general supplies.
- Work with Christian education committee and Pastor, plan and lead special church school programs, such as:
- Advent program (first Sunday of December)
- Christmas Pagent
- Family Service – 3rd Sunday of every month
- Collaborate with the Christian education committee to submit a budget to the Vestry by the end of December each year.
- Submit an annual report to the Vestry at the end of each year.
- Communicate with parents and caregivers to invite participation in church school programs.
- Keep informed about what is happening in the church school and in Christian education and keep the congregation informed.
- Work with the Christian education committee to evaluate programs and develop new ways of carrying out tasks.
- Keep well connected with the Diocese and Youth Programs associated with the Diocese and work with the Christian Ed Committee to coordinate several service projects throughout the year
- Confirmation class 2011.
- Be an advocate for Christian education.
- Insure that the church school operates under safe church guidelines.
Time Requirements 7-10 hours per week to include Sunday School period on Sunday morning. Supervised by: Pastor and Wardens
